Pre-order your iPad

Tomorrow (Mar 12)  is the first day you will be able to pre-order an Apple iPad. You will have to wait a further three weeks to get your hands on it though, as it won't be released until April 3.

Starting tomorrow at 8:30 am ET, 5:30 am PT, you can either pre-order an iPad at Apple's online store, or reserve an iPad at an Apple retail store.

Apple has allocated a certain number of reservations per store, and each store will likely y stop taking iPad pre-orders when it reaches that number.

Six models are available for pre-order - three with WiFi only and three with both WiFi+3G. However, the April 3 shipping date applies to the WiFi-only models, not the WiFi+3G models. The WiFi+3G models are expected to ship around a month later.

The iPad is priced from $499 to $829. The WiFi-only iPads are priced at $499, $599 and $699 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB flash drive configurations, respectively.

Apple will launch the iPad in the UK at the end of April, a month after its US launch, where it will be available in stores from 3 April.
